I am also interested in how others handle this. I am having trouble making MLO Android useful, and when I have time to try to fix that, I think I might find that views are more useful than tabs because they can sync with mobile. So I might change up how I do things then.
Currently, I keep all of my tabs pinned and locked (I currently have 20, and use about 8 of them daily), and whenever I try to change something the lock prevents, it automatically opens a new tab. The only clunky part is that it generally just copies the tab, and I have to re-click to make the change I attempted. But otherwise, I simply use the new tab that opens up. If a tab is not pinned and I don't recognize it anymore, I know it can be closed, so if a tab ever bothers me I just close it. - Trevor.
