By default MLO creates a completed copy of the recurring task when you 
check it. You can find the option here: open Task Recurrence setup 
dialog->Advanced settings->Do not create a completed copy of this task on 
recurring (OFF).

This way you can see if you have marked a task as completed and when it 
happened. Also, you can open the view "Completed Recently" and find your 
latest actions there.
