Even when it is set to "show completed tasks - YES", under the drop down menu there is still something checked on "hide completed tasks older then..." not sure if that is effecting things. Completed tasks do not expire, however completing a task sometimes but not always makes it eligible for archiving. Could you find and check the archive on the side where the tasks are missing and see if the missing tasks are in the archive?
