It is still only encrypted in transit via https, MLO itself does not encrypt anything. It won't change soon because the company doesn't tend to fix problems people complain about even after 10 years (I've been around since the first version).
I'd also say that because the company has such low resources to do much, they would not be doing anything else with our data. I believe the company is all about making a task manager that can manage life.
