Hi TellurideGypsy,

The "Dependency" feature in MLO is very powerful and incredibly well done. 
However the "Delay" option will affect when the next task will become 
"Active" but does not act on the dates. 
You can see the "Active" state in the right pane, "Task statistic" section.
