I understand what you are saying, but don't think it is a good thing (but 
that is my point of view). 

Do MLO users typically work with multiple data files? I would think 
normally one for person, as work & home can be managed withing one data 
file (based on the tutorials I have viewed so far).

With notepad or Word, it is common for users to have hundreds of files, so 
that behavior is logical when using these types of programs. 

Anyhow, i guess the solution is just to make sure your data file is open 
before adding tasks - not a major issue.
