Hi, Alsatian. The proces of ordering tasks by manually dragging and
dropping them, iscalled "manual sort." The other way to acomplist thiswould
be by sortingv on somefield, like start time or importance, and
thenmanually assigning values to each task to make them come outin gthe
order you like. I use "importance" - you can click on the importance slider
and drag it left/right with the mouse or gthe arrow keys and watch the task
rise and drop in youjr list. It's about the same effort as dragging the
tasks like you are doing, and it synchs beautifully. The solution you
suggested, synching tghe manual sort orderf for one view, has been
implemented already for the "starred" view. Set the star on everythjing you
want to do today and clear the star from everythiong else, switch to the
starred view, and drag your tasks to the order you want, you will find it
synched.

As a MLO user across multiple platforms, I have two complaints that I would
like to see the MLO software developers address in the next release/update.
1. There should be a way to synchronize user-created Views across
platforms through Cloud Sync. Each day I put my tasks in a verticle
heirarchy based on when during the day I plan to work on that task. I
usually do this on my desktop computer, while answering emails and
scheduling appointments. It would be great if I could create this sorting
of tasks on my desktop PC while I am doing this other day planning, and see
these Tasks in that same custom order later in the day on my iPad or iPhone
while I am on the move. Even it MLO could add this functionality to just
one view, say the Due in Next 7 Days View, it would be a big help to me as
I churn through each day's tasks.
2. Can we please get a Today View that allows for direct user entry of
appointments that would then be available across all Platforms and
synchronizes across all platforms? The current workaround is worthless. I
don't think trying to get a clunky calendar like Google's to export tasks
into the MLO Today View and then only to the iPad/Android versions of MLO
that currently support Today View , is even close to an adequate response
to my request.
I don't use Google Calendar. I use Outlook. Not supported for Today View
Event import function. Really, I spend much more time in my MLO app every
day than I ever do in my calendar app in Outlook. It would be so much
easier for me to simply enter appointments directly into my MLO as I make
them, rather than going to another application and having to import them
from that app. This seems like such an obviously beneficial enhancement
for heavy users of MLO like me. Please consider adding this functionality
ot the next major release of MLO.
If you agree with me, join me in petitioning MLO's design team to add these
user-friendly features to MLO.
