Hi, I do something similar. You can add a column on the desktop view for the "Time Required" setting and then tweak the Sort view in the Filter view settings to either ascending or descending to start with the shortest time or longest time task. Gives you a good idea on the total time to complete.
If you wanted to take it a step further, you could add start/stop times and sync to Google calendar and see it visually there although that takes more time in configuration your task specific parameters.
