MLO must have access to your Android "Contacts" app. Check the permissions in system Settings-> Apps & notifications-> MLO-> Allow access to Contacts. Also, make sure the option is enabled in MLO-> Settings -> General -> Adding contacts to notes -> Use adding contacts in notes.
