I sympathise, I’ve had this happen to me when syncing al old device. It generally adds back in all the items I have deleted or archived in the past. Very annoying. I find that syncing another device that has synced recently in overwrite remote mode can help. These days if I want to sync an old device I delete and reinstall MLO first and then do a new sync.
