In order to comply with sync limit, I deleted 24k tasks, to have only 2k remaining. After trying to sync again, it now complains that there are "TOO MANY DELETED TASKS, AND CANNOT SYNC"...
So what this means is that upgrading my iPhone means: 1) Losing ability to Wifi sync 2) Need to add Cloud sync (fine, happy to support developers, hope it works) 3) Need for a brand new desktop database file (is there a way to auto transfer views etc?) 4) Need for a brand new iOS profile (no more old views) But we now have dark mode?
