Hello Michael, If you include the "Icons" column in your view, it can display up to three icons side-by-side (positions 1, 2 and 3). By default, the notes icon is at position 2 (the middle of the column) and link and reminder icons are at position 3 (the right hand side of the column). I put all my context icons at position 1, but you could choose to use those three positions for icons to display completely different information.
I've just spotted... there's also an icon position 4 (also in the Icons column) which defaults to being used by the "New" or sun icon to highlight new items created within the last day, though I think that option is usually unchecked in the list of Automatic formatting rules. I think I might start using that for some other kind of icon with some custom conditions of my own.
