Hi,

I want to suggest to implement a way to have the same task nested into more
than one "place”.....sort of same task mirrored in multiple folder....

for example:

Tasklist 1(project 1)

    Subtask 1

    Subtask 2

    Subtask 3

Tasklist 2(project 2)

    Subtask 1

    Subtask 2

    Subtask 3

In this case the mother “taskslist” are different but the subtasks for the
two tasklist are the same, and if you change something or complete subtask 2
of tasklist 1 it mirror the change also in subtask 2 of tasklist 2 because
it’s the same task putted into two different places of the nested
folder/task hierarchy...

Why it is useful?

Very very often using MLO to organize the steps of projects,I have several
projects for witch one task that i have to do is common among these and
instead of having one for them all that I can edit or mark it done once, I
have several copies of them and every time I edit or do the thing, i have
to edit or mark done all the other "same" in the different projects....and
I see every time in the "active tasks" view a series of tasks named same
that i have to mark done singularly for one things done....

we can already do that nesting context in another context, but the context
view is flat and with several nesting you loss the perception of which one
is into which one....a way to achieve this is to implement a view of
“outlined nested contexts”....the feature is already there is more of a
matter of GUI update...

Amplenote, Roam, Obsidian, Remnote, Logseq, Notion, Athens ,Workflowy for
example are capable of this....amplenote claim that they don’t have folder
but a nested tag system to organize tasks....they work exactly like MLO
context but you can see the outline nested context that allow you for more
complex nesting and organization

I want you to know that this is not another case of “the user are always
unhappy” cos i’m very happy with MLO , is THE beast for GTD and none of
them are better at this,i’m literally unable to find a better alternative
to MLO.... This feature will be a step toward ultimed trend of obsidian
like apps that can organize in MAP OF CONTENT(MOC) other than classic
hierarchical folder structure.

Thank you very much Slava Ukraini!!!
