Hi Andrey, Thanks for taking the time to respond.
I've just tried turning off "One click edit mode" as you suggested, but, unfortunately it hasn't made any difference. It does mean that when I click an item it selects it in one click not two, however if I click on an unselected item and immediately drag it still selects all the items I drag over rather than moving the item that I 'selected' first. If you need, I can create a demonstration video for you and upload it somewhere.
