Hi,

    Ok Shashi now I got it I faced same scenario while installing Suse 10.0 OSS.  This indeed  needs to be fixed. The configuration what I faced @ that time was

AMD Sempron 64 bit 2600+
Asrock Motherboard K8V
Logitech Bundle Keyboard

Try with Debian Unstable 2.6.14, I think this should work but while installing try "vanilla" instead of "linux26". This was instructed by Thaths when I was facing problem installing Sarge on a SCSI drive.

This one is a Gigabyte Optical Mouse, and the board is a 64bit one. Will that make any difference ?
