I have installed Linux Mint 7 "Gloria" in my portable hard disk. It works
fine
in all of the systems I boot from.

All the PCs except the one I have at home have intel CPUs. The graphics,
compiz effects run smoothly in all but my home PC. The PC I have at home
has nVidia graphics. I know that I have to install the nVidia drivers to get
the
graphics running properly in my system. But I don't know how it will affect
the
performance on other systems. Also I am not sure if I can have two kernels
one with nVidia graphics installed and another without. Even if that is
possible,
I don't know how to do it.

Thanks in advance for solutions and suggestions.
