Hi, after the positive experiences of managing the Mylyn Builds, Docs and Reviews sources in Git I would like to pursue a migration to Git for the remaining Mylyn sub-projects Mylyn Commons, Context, Incubator, Tasks and Versions that are still hosted in CVS.
My sense is that major concerns have been addressed over the past couple of month and Git has significant advantages over CVS making a migration worth the effort: * EGit has reached it's 1.0 release with Indigo and supports everyday workflows from the IDE reasonably well * The EGit Mylyn integration generates commit message and is being improved steadily * Tycho supports building from Git well My plan is to move this forward in July after the Indigo release. Please comment on bug 329561 if you have any concerns or questions. Of course I would also appreciate positive feedback if you are in favor of the proposal :). 329561: [releng] migrate Mylyn projects to Git https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=329561 Steffen -- Steffen Pingel Committer, http://eclipse.org/mylyn Senior Developer, http://tasktop.com _______________________________________________ mylyn-integrators mailing list mylyn-integrators@eclipse.org https://dev.eclipse.org/mailman/listinfo/mylyn-integrators
