Follow-up Comment #2, bug #14937 (project mypaint):
More questions:
1) Is it possible that you were running low on disk space?
2) Did you notice a general system slowdown and harddisk activity
before/after the crash (swapping)?
3) You were using the "mypaint-0.7.1-win32-installer.exe" and not one of the
git builds, correct?
Some things to try:
A) We had some brushes that did only on Windows (not on Linux) produce dabs
that were faaaaaar off the canvas. This should be fixed in your version, but
if this is the problem then you can reproduce it by drawing with the "bad"
brush and save as PNG. If the PNG gets much bigger than expected, you got
it.
B) If you get into such a situation again, please save normally first (once
or twice or three times), and after that "save as" to make sure that this
makes the difference.
C) Could you please watch the memory consumption of mypaint during normal
work and while/after saving several times?
