Follow-up Comment #1, bug #15566 (project mypaint):
I can confirm this issue. For me running Mypaint v0.8.2 under OSX 10.6.2, the
color picker seems to be picking the wrong shade of color. It seems to default
to picking a very dark shade of color even when selecting very light or even
white shades. I think some are interpreting it as selecting only black,
because it usually selects a very dark or black shade. This behavior is also
present when using the color picker on the brush and layer tool windows and
even native OSX apps. Hopefully a solution to this issue can be found as it
is a serious usability problem for OSX users.
