Follow-up Comment #3, bug #15906 (project mypaint):
After further thought, i'm thinking the real issue is that the canvas area is
not accepting any input from a regular mouse when "Mode for input devices" =
screen. The menus will close if you click on any of the other windows and if
you click on the menu name or window bar.
