BTW, given that bNNN-type names are likely to crop up on lots of users'
MyPaint installs, I'm wondering if the parent linking functionality should be
done with UUIDs or MD5 hashes of the brushinfo or something similar rather
than a brush name.
Such names now persist in strokemaps in .ora files, which might be exchanged
between people. Different users won't have the same saved brushes. In the
case of bNNN-format auto-generated names, that's particularly bad since
picking a stroke is likely to highlight something completely unrelated in the
UI.
>From a user perspective, it might still be quite nice to display the parent
_name_ somewhere; perhaps the create widget's label that currently shows "(no
name)" for picked brushkey brushes, strokemap ones etc.
