Follow-up Comment #6, bug #17832 (project mypaint):
This is meant as a debug tool or maybe temporal workaround, but not as a
solution to broken device drivers.
Saving the state would conflict with the way we are currently configuring
input devices, allthough it could be done somehow I think we shouldn't
bother.
To get any further you will have to find the source of your problem. Use
xidump (or xinput) to check whether it's already buggy in xorg. If not it's
probably a GTK problem. Do you have to make the same fix in GIMP? And if xorg
input is wrong already, you have to check the linux wacom project, try the
latest driver, etc.
