Please use a better summary when reporting bugs.
I suspect the problem here is that you have used one of the Portnov branches,
which has stored the name of a window which does not exist in the mainline
branch to the settings file. mypaint -c /tmp/somenonexistingfolder to
confirm.
However, I would consider the fact that we seem to try to import any value
that is in found the settings file. In my opinion, we should check it against
a whitelist.
