Details:
Open the brush editor. Select "edit brush icon". When you select different
brushes, the preview updates. Enable the "edit mode" checkbox and disable it
again.
When you select different brushes now, the preview no longer updates, no
matter whether "edit mode" is checked or not. An update can be forced by
toggling "edit mode" twice.
