Follow-up Comment #5:
I can reproduce when I make a pressure curve that maps zero tablet pressure
to something like 0.001. So your tablet's pressure doesn't go fully back to
zero.
Please check with Debug->Test Input Devices. What pressure value do you see
(in the topmost "pressure" label) right after lifiting your pen?
The in-between strokes that you select do actually exist on the image, but
they are too faint to be seen by eye (you can see them in GIMP if you increase
alpha). But we should prevent such faint strokes from showing up in the
strokemap.
