Follow-up Comment #3, bug #18581 (project mypaint):
The "live brush update" is mainly there to help with brush design. I
personally don't think there is a major use case behind this bug (or is
there?).
We could fix this by simply not update the last stroke if other actions have
been made since.
The "git rebase" approach might get a bit difficult/shaky because IIRC the
current assumption is that the undo stack below any recorded is immutable (so
we can work with snapshots). And I wonder who would be interested to use such
a feature, if it only works with non-strokes? (We can "rebase" strokes too but
it's too slow to be useful.)
