I can't see this myself, under Linux at least. Brian: does the cursor
disappear over black when you're *not* drawing? Do you see any evidence of the
cursor at all?
Do you get the same problem with experimental/1-pixel ? Does changing the
size of the brush with D and F make any difference?
If so, the problem might be better described as "cursors for small brushes
are too small". Perhaps we could decorate with a constant-size cursor bitmap
to the bottom-right of the central point or something (GIMP's cursors are
quite nice).
