Update of bug #20278 (project mypaint):
Status: None => Wish
_______________________________________________________
Follow-up Comment #1:
What's the behaviour you're looking for here, and why does the current
behaviour make it hard to use?
Currently if you're in freehand mode and hold down shift we show the straight
line stroke immediately as it's drawn, allowing you to reposition it while you
hold down shift. The "ghost" or "preview" line is the line itself - I think
it's more useful to see exactly what you get and then just let go when it's
right, but what's your take on it?
Current behaviour could be slow on older computers, with big brushes.
If you release shift or press some other modifier while dragging a MyPaint
"shift" straight line around, you get constrained angles. This isn't explained
anywhere, and it's potentially rather confusing - make sure you're holding
shift down throughout the operation.
