Update of bug #21363 (project mypaint):
Severity: 4 - Important => 2 - Minor
Priority: 5 - Normal => 4
_______________________________________________________
Follow-up Comment #1:
The behaviour has changed a bit, but this feature is not _completely_ broken.
To get one-off constrained lines in freehand mode:
0 Hold down <shift>
0 Click and hold <button1>
0 With <button1> still held, move the pointer → straight line preview
appears while the button is held
0 With <button1> still held, press <ctrl> too → angles begin snapping
0 Release <button1> → straight line with constrained angle is added undoably
to the canvas
0 Straight line mode exits, and freehand mode is entered.
To make straight lines at arbitrary angles while in freehand mode:
0 Hold down <shift>
0 Click and hold <button1>
0 With <button1> still held, move the pointer → straight line preview
appears while the button is held
0 Release <button1> → straight line with arbitrary angle is added undoably
to the canvas
0 Straight line mode exits, and freehand mode is entered.
Snapping to the nearest 15° angle *when releasing shift to exit* the
line-drawing mode is broken though, and it should be fixed.
Thanks for the helpful bug report!
