Because with proper pixel brushes, it's possible to do far more of the process of planning a picture then rendering it out into pixel art, in MyPaint. MtPaint (or Grafx2, my preferred pixelling app) are very competent for pixelling, but they don't provide for the process preceding pixelling. (plus, mypaint has very nice color selection I can use for palette work, even given that I can't use two of the color selectors) I noted some display update glitches with the 1px brush > at high zoom-in, but I probably won't bother to hunt them down. Yes, I didn't see how to avoid this for a 1px brush. I judged it to happen rarely enough that it wasn't a serious problem. I think the 'painted area' gets calculated as less than one image pixel sometimes, only when moving diagonally. (and never when shift-clicking, IIRC) David _______________________________________________ Mypaint-discuss mailing list [email protected] https://mail.gna.org/listinfo/mypaint-discuss
