hi Anthony Much of the work required to make MyPaint more native to Mac involves the GTK+ library, which is used by GIMP and MyPaint and other applications. Last thing I heard was that mitch (of the GIMP project) was making good progress on the MacOS native (Quartz) port of gtk+. The main thing missing was tablet support, but I don't know what the status is now. If you are interesting in helping there, he usually hangs around in #gtk+ and #gimp on the Gnome IRC network.
There have been a couple of people working on porting MyPaint itself to OSX. The place to start is: http://wiki.mypaint.info/Development/Packaging#OSX The priority is what you make it. Most developers are on Linux, but we certainly welcome contributions and offer assistance to anyone who is working on porting MyPaint to a different platform.
