hi my problem deals with mysql replication.
my situation: i have a mysql master server which consists of 2 tables: tbl1, tbl2 via cron i run huge amount of queries and data in tbl1. after the cron ended i rename the tbl1 to tbl2. in this case i ignore replicating tbl1 on mysql slave, as the mysql replication slave proceeds master's binlog in serial order. otherwise slave would lag enormously. my problem: i thought of just replicating tbl2 as if tbl1 got renamed to tbl2 it would be faster replicated on mysql slave. but if i ignore replication for tbl1 and i rename tbl1 to tbl2 on mysql master, tbl2 doesn't get replicated on mysql slave either. i can't find a solution. please help me. thx dan --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "mysql" group.
