Monitoring and maintaining existing databases 2. Resolving complex database issues 3. Problem determination 4. Optimizing performance 5. Implementing protocols for disaster recovery and security 6. Implementing and monitoring replication tools e.g., Shareplex, Streams 7. Enforcing Oracle database securities protocols *Other Duties: * 1. Maintain database performance by monitoring space, CPU usage, fragmentation of data and by tuning queries, etc. 2. Recommend long-term technology solutions in accordance with an understanding of the methodology, architecture, and business needs of the organization. 3. Assist Developers/DBAs with complex problems. Analyze and resolve issues using database tools. Determine, implement, and oversee the need for db maintenance and communicate/coordinate with affected customers, minimizing business interruption wherever possible. 4.
