*Sr. **IBM Websphere Consultants* * Location:* IL Duration: Long Term ** *Rate: *Competitive ** Client recently established / is establishing two new common system development and operations platforms; 1) the "Global Information Platform (GIP)" to host Business Intelligence / Performance Management applications, and 2) the "Application Integration Platform (AIP)" to host A2A and B2B applications. The GIP is in Production now, while AIP Development and Test environments will be deployed during Q4'08, with Production to follow in Q1'09. IBM Integration technologies are key components of both platforms. The GIP relies on the IBM Information Server v8.0 suite (DataStage, QualityStage, Information Analyzer and DataMirror), while the AIP relies on the IBM Websphere EAI suite (WPG, ESB, WAS, WSRR and WBM). Other important platform technologies include: Oracle 10G, SQL Server 2005, Cognos 8 BI, Cognos Planning 8 and SharePoint/MOSS 2007 AIP & GIP developers are widely distributed geographically and represent all Client businesses, regions, and functions; while the Enterprise Architecture group is generally responsible for delivering and supporting the platforms. *Description:* Client requires integration expertise in various IBM technologies to review existing and planned configurations and performance, install new components, and suggest potential changes to optimize platform health of the integration portions of the GIP & AIP. *Responsibilities:* The Integration Technologies Configuration Review Engagement will provide the following deliverables: *GIP / IBM **Information Server v8.0 suite** (DataStage, QualityStage, Information Analyzer and DataMirror)* 1. Review DataStage installation, configuration, security setup (LDAP/Active Directory), project set-up and performance on all environments. Identify optimization opportunities and assist Administrator in developing a Milestone Plan for deploying changes. 2. Identify additional DataStage existing capabilities for Administrator to leverage to more effectively monitor and manage platform health (e.g. out-of-box performance DB & reporting tool?). 3. Install and configure QualityStage (US) & Information Analyzer (US, EU & Asia/Pac) on appropriate environments 4. Review DataStage portion of "GIP Developer Website" and identify additional IBM resources that would be helpful to Baxter developers (e.g. Quick Start doc, Best Practices doc, CBTs, etc.). 5. Work with Baxter ETL Architect to develop a Milestone Plan for integrating IBM DataMirror onto the GIP platform. 6. Work with Baxter Information Architecture group to finalize the GIP metadata strategy; determine fit with IBM Metadata Workbench technology, and to develop an associated Milestone Plan. 7. Install & configure Tivoli on the existing GIP monitoring & reporting server. Collect specific performance data from a sampling of 5-6 GIP servers. Move that data from Tivoli to the existing monitoring & reporting DB. This will serve as a Pilot for Baxter to consider for rolling out across the GIP & AIP platforms. *AIP / IBM Websphere EAI suite (WPG, ESB, WAS, WSRR and WBM)* 8. Review and suggest enhancements to Baxter's high level Websphere EAI deployment Milestone Plan. 9. Install and configure Websphere EAI on Development and Test environments (3 servers). Tune performance of the Websphere EAI and JVM components. 10. Help design, develop and deploy a Websphere EAI Pilot project. Consultants will report into Client's Enterprise Architecture group. *Qualifications:* 1. Expertise with installation, configuration, security setup (LDAP/Active Directory), project set-up, multi-language support, and operational performance tracking & optimization of: · *Specific IBM **Information Server v8.0 suite** components: DataStage, QualityStage, Information Analyzer and DataMirror* · *IBM Websphere EAI suite: WPG, ESB, WAS, WSRR and WBM* · *IBM Tivoli* 2. Proven ability to work with minimal supervision. 3.
