DESCRIPTION * Responsible for systems administration and support for large scale enterprise storage management infrastructure. Technologies supported include operating systems, servers, networks, system security, hardware and other software applications. * Installation, configuration, customization and provisioning of the storage resources to meet application/business needs. * Performance management and monitoring of the storage environment. This also includes providing Storage Management support for Mainframe operating systems as well as all functions associated with managing the midtier SAN infrastructure. * Troubleshoot system issues, resolve or recommend solutions. * Create and manage system documentation, including configurations and backup procedures. * Create patches and updates as needed. Must possess solid knowledge of operating systems and enterprise storage. REQUIREMENTS 3-5 years of experience functioning in a Storage Administrator capacity is required. * General knowledge of network media and protocols, Storage Area Networking for tape and disk. * EMC Symmetrix, EMC Clariion, EMC Centera, EMC Celerra storage arrays. * Unix, Windows: Familiarity with AIX, Solaris, Red Hat Linux, and Windows * Server: Perform basic system administration with emphasis on TCP/IP networking and file system maintenance. * Mainframe: z/OS management of storage systems including SMS and non-SMS DASD, HSM, STK VSM, HSM ABARS. * Understanding of mainframe catalog structure and recovery. * NetBackup, Falconstor VTL and SIR. * IBM z-series: z9, FICON, VTS. * McData\Brocade directors and switches. * Knowledge of relational database principles. * Understand the concepts of interpretive and compiled languages. Able to write simple programs in at least one scripting language. * Familiarity with some of the following: Veritas Netbackup, EMC PowerPath, EMC Navisphere, EMC SRDF/BCV, DNS, NFS, Oracle DBMS/RAC, Oracle ASM. ISPF, SDSF, DFSMS, DFHSM, DFDSS, ABARS, CA/VANTAGE, CA/ALLOCATE, PPRC, EXHPDM, CA1, HSC.
