Below is the job description. This is for a Long Term contract opportunity. Short Title of Task: SAP Basis Administrator (Production Support) Scope of Work: - Provide day-to-day Basis support to District Functional, Development, and Help Desk staff and perform normal maintenance activities. Staff augmentation intended to allow District Basis staff to concentrate on SAP Upgrade related tasks. - Basic description: - The candidate will provide day-to-day monitoring and maintenance for the District's SAP ERP 4.7 and SAP Portal 7.0, and BI 7.0 environment. The candidate will interface with District Functional, Development, and Help Desk staff to resolve user SAP issues. They will also review early watch reports and perform other normal SAP Basis maintenance functions. - Additionally, they will be expected to put together configuration of alert mechanisms within the SAP environment to improve the District's capacity to monitor SAP systems. The candidate will be expected to also interface with other operations staff such as those related to Storage, Unix (System), and Backup Administration. - The engagement is expected to last for about six months, from approximately December 15, 2008, through June 22, 2009. All work for this engagement is expected to be done on-site at our District Headquarters Campus.
