 Position: Siebel eClinical or Siebel CRM Design and/or Configuration
experience

Location: Minneapolis, MN

Duration: 6+months

 MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB (BRIEF SUMMARY)

This person's primary responsibility is to drive the activities and
deliverables associated with the Analysis and Design Phases of various
Clinical projects and enhancements.  This person is responsible for the
successful implementation of Siebel eClinical Solutions and other solutions
/ modules and processes within the Clinical Core Processes. Accountable for
all Design Team activities and deliverables throughout project life cycle
phases, with emphasis on translating user requirements into functional
specifications for any associated Process, Reporting, Data Conversion,
Integration, and CRDs (Change Request to Design).  Align Clinical processes
and designs across business units/geographies to ensure Global Design for
the Clinical Core Processes.  Provide detailed functional knowledge
throughout the project lifecycle and maintain insight to current industry
best practices and how they can be applied at Medtronic.  Provide ongoing
support and subject matter expertise for the global design including the
quality and stability of the solution (break/fix).



MAIN JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
 Assume primary responsibility for§ the successful delivery of Design Team
Deliverables within the Clinical Core Processes.
 Work independently with end-users, local COEs, and business§ partners to
assess the business customer requirements, match these requirements to
objectives and guide them to the applicable processes and solutions
including developing specifications and enhancements that will achieve the
customer's business goals.
 Manage issues associated with project§ interdependence/design conflict,
resource allocation and management, resource financial issues and change
management across the program portfolio.
 Create and manage team project plan including timelines and milestones and§
track progress; inspire teamwork and responsibility across project teams;
hold teams accountable to schedules, budgets, and scope.
 Market and communicate§ program vision to project teams, key business
stakeholders, and business councils.
 With the Core Process Owner work closely with the Clinical§ Council /
subcouncils to ensure to ensure continued business engagement and
commitment.
 Observes and evaluates industry trends and benchmarks§ operations against
industry standards.
 Establishes appropriate§ relationships at all levels within the
organization to influence and execute strategy/operations.
 Partners with site leaders and local COEs to§ communicate areas of change
both for new projects / functionality and ongoing enhancements (CRDs).  .
 Responsible for analysis and documentation of the§ global clinical business
and process models.
 Supports the analysis and§ documentation of data entity requirements,
attributes, and associations conducted by the data analyst.
 Responsible for communicating and adhering§ to Enterprise Application and
Design Team standard processes and tools in support of project / enhancement
execution.
 Responsible for communicating§ process and functional requirements to other
workstream teams (analysis, design, data, technical, training / org
readiness, testing)
 Responsible for§ utilizing and adhering to the Global Business Model in
support of project and enhancement activities.
 Responsible for conducting workshop sessions and§ stakeholder interviews in
support of project and enhancement activities.
 Responsible for conducting workshop sessions and stakeholder§ interviews in
support of break/fix service request activities.


 JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

 REQUIREMENTS  PREFERENCES
 KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION
• B.A. or B.S. degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related
discipline.
• General understanding of software and information technology solutions and
ability to apply to client needs.
• Strong functional knowledge in the following area:
• General Customer Relationship Management business processes including
Sales, Marketing, and Service
• Clinical Business Processes
• Comprehensive understanding of complex software and information technology
solutions and ability to apply to client needs.
• Solid understanding of system development methodologies.
• Large global systems implementation experience.
• Functional, design, and configuration expertise in Siebel eClinical and/or
Siebel CRM modules and solutions.
• Advanced degree in Computer Science or business related discipline.
• Business Analysis Certification.
• Six Sigma Green belt or Black belt certification.

• Comprehensive understanding of complex software and information technology
solutions and ability to apply to client needs.
• Solid understanding of system development methodologies.


 JOB EXPERIENCE
• 10-14 years of IT or related experience with B.A or B.S.; 8-12 years of IT
or related experience with M.A. or M.S.
• 3-5 years of Siebel eClinical or Siebel CRM Design and/or Configuration
experience.
• Experience with process development and improvement and the ability to
provide/review multiple solutions and selection of the best solution with
the highest process improvement impact.
• Experience in the development and support of integrated business
applications and systems architecture.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and AOP activities.
• Experience in business process definition, requirements definition,
functional design, and technology solution research.
• Experience in facilitating small to large groups through challenging
discussions.
• Knowledge and experience in the medical device industry.
