*We have until **2:00pm EST **to submit our candidates for the position listed below. * *It is a 6 month + contract with extensions in Englewood, CO. * *Ideally we are looking for candidates with previous Cable/Telecommunications experience.* *Sr. Data Modeler - 1 opening* *Experience:* - *Has implemented some form of enterprise master data store including customer and product* ** - *Possesses experience with billing vendors - CSG and Amdocs* ** - *Has complete familiarity with data governance techniques* ** - *Demonstrated ability to design and implement both dimensional and relational models* ** - *Demonstrated ability to take a model from conceptual through logical to physical implementation.* ** - *Demonstrate technical skills through creative design and implementation of solutions using cutting edge and proven technologies to resolve problems that gate effective performance and availability of multithreaded and cluster based business critical applications.* ** - *Assist in the architecture, design, development, debug, optimization and support of new and existing products through code changes per the development schedule.* ** - *Provide Data architecture design for Distributed Systems* ** - *Formal and practical knowledge of relational databases—Oracle, MySQL* ** - *Manage Online Application development using full life cycle development methodologies* ** - *Object Oriented Methodologies* ** - *Responsible for installing, configuring, and troubleshooting development environments (application and client-server applications).* * * - *Develop tests and tools to ensure the quality of our software.* ** - *Test new and existing products in large complex environments.* ** - *Work closely with the QA organization to identify and resolve test issues.* ** - *Other duties may be required based on business necessity.* ** - *Ability to generate formal documentation* ** - *Knowledge of UML to document designs* ** - *Other duties may be required based on business necessity.* ** *Skill Set:* - *Solid job experience with Data Modeling tools such as Erwin, Powerdesignor, or Visio* ** - *Experience with large implementations of both relational and dimensional reporting systems* ** - *SQL skills for data validation, analysis, and troubleshooting* ** - *Experience with provisioning systems a big plus* ** - *Extensive experience with a reporting tools such as Brio* ** - *Experience with OLAP tools such as Hyperion Essbase or others* ** - *Ability to communicate results of analysis and changes to customers* * * - *Project management and project tracking are critical* ** - *Participate in group meetings to present and defend design decisions* ** - *Comply with all established procedures and policies of Comcast* ** - *Other functions that may be assigned* ** - *Strong skills with Oracle and SQL – more than 5 years would be appropriate* ** - *Unix experience critical – more than 5 years would be appropriate* ** - *Oracle DBA skills a plus* ** - *Experience with entire SDLC (RAD, Waterfall, whatever) important* ** - *Experience with the concept of master data important* ** - *Familiarity with cable industry data a huge benefit* ** - *Familiarity with customer and product data important* ** * PLEASE SEND ME THE RESUMES TO MY OFFICIAL ID BELOW* *Best Regards* *Chris** Nihaki Systems,Inc.
