Problem description:
Yesterday, mysqld died with following message in error log:
mysqld got signal 11;
The manual section 'Debugging a MySQL server' tells you how to use a
stack trace and/or the core file to produce a readable backtrace that
may
help in finding out why mysqld died
Attemping backtrace. You can use the following information to find out
where mysqld died. If you see no messages after this, something went
terribly wrong
frame pointer (ebp) is NULL, did you compile with
-fomit-frame-pointer? Aborting backtrace
Since it seems that mysqld from binary RPM cannot print a stack
backtrace, has somebody an idea of what could be the cause of
this problem ?
I assume that mysqld has got some kind of "out of memory" error.
However, it is running on a dedicated server with 2Gb of RAM and
top or vmstat report ~1Gb of free memory. Is it possible that this
is due to some mysqld incorrect configuration variable ?
