Hi everybody,
First excuse me about my bad English
I have a weird (at least weird for me) problem trying to connect to mysql
server v 3.23...
When I try to connect from some sites, I got an ERROR 1045: Access denied
for user: 'user@host' (Using password: YES)
I'm sure the privilege tables are right, the user is added to db and user
tables for connect from localhost and from %, and I can connect to de data
base from some other machines and from the localhost...
Anybody knows if there's any incompatibility for remote connect with older
clients, or if 3.23 has any kind of bug in this way???
I've checked the Connection errors/Aborted Connection section, BUT:
* A communication packet does not contain the right information
It's not in my side, I suppose the mysql client working fine.
* The user didn't have privileges to access the database
Wrong, I've checked this, and I can connect from localhost and from my local
machine in Spain and from other servers in the same LAN as the server.
* The user uses the wrong password
Same as above
* The client program takes more seconds to send a connect package as defined
in the connect_timout variable
I don't know how this value is setted, but I can connect from my machine in
Spain via ODBC, I can't believe that another machine in the same LAN takes
more time to get the server than me.
* It also mentions that it can happen if the client program ends abruptly
(like crashes or exits with an error.)
Same as first point
If anyone knows something, please, let me know, this is urgent for me.
