<>In the mysql documentation on upgrading on the mysql website it is said that it's a better idea to upgrade on a step-by-step bases using the direct-followup versions of MySQL every time and not to upgrade jumping a couple versions (ex. from 3.22 to 4.0, skipping 3.23). I would like to know what the impact would be If I upgraded directly from version 3.23 to version 4.1 and why it is said that it is not a good idea to do so.
