the easiest way would be to use the port.
otherwise ./configure (--with-some-options); make; make install and hope for
the best...
more realistically, do the commands one by one, and deal w/ the error
messages as they pop up.

is there specific information that is not on these pages
( http://www.mysql.com/doc/Q/u/Quick_install.html )
that you were looking for?
