MySql v3.23 is part of the Fedore Core 3 distribution. MySQL v4.1 only became standard in Fedora Core 4.
I suspect it's one of the non-Fedora repositories you're using. Check your logs and also check /etc/yum.repos.d grep enabled /etc/yum/repos.d/* Best regards, Richard Dale.
