Just an update on this one... I changed the encryption method for the
strings being stored to a method that doesn't use funky characters. I then
removed the fields with the previous funky data and those weird id issues
have gone away. :-)

Subject: Joins on tables with funky data?
Okay, so I haven't been able to find any corrupted tables. Has anyone ever
run into problems with joins between tables that contain funky data? I have
a table that contains encrypted info and some of the characters being
used/stored are definitely odd.
I'm still trying to find the answer to our issues. sigh.
