Sounds more like it's setup on a SAN.. a NAS is a different type of unit like a NetApp filer.
I'd have to agree with the other poster, I'm not sure your current config is valid. A more typical setup would be that both boxes should have their own unique SAN partitions, and a high speed network connection between them. Setup some replication and your good to go.
