mysql.sock

hello,
    when i rebooted the system,  an error occured :

"Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket
/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock"

I've already check var/lib/mysql directory and mysql.sock does exist..

how do i connect this ? why is it everytime i reboot the system it produces an error 
like this ?
