Urgent:MySql problem

Hello,
I am working on RH Linux 7.0
MySql is not working at all.
My MySql files are under /usr/bin.

It gives the following error on running any mysql command

Can't connect to localMySql server through socket 'var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock'(111)

Please Help me.
