You can use ODBC for mysql ... (download from www.mysql.com )

Install it , then just use it ...
To try it, make a Datasource for the ODBC ...
In vb make use a Datawizard form, select remote ODBC ...
then select the datasource you create it ...
and you have a simple maintainance form to a table on mysql
