Well, the cat's out of the bag, I guess, so I'll spill the beans. The "MySQL Developer's Handbook" has been canceled for reasons that I won't discuss on the public mailing list. So it should eventually disappear from Amazon.com's listing. Just *today* I signed a contract with O'Reilly & Associates to write "Advanced MySQL" which I've begun working on. The goal is to have it out in the 2nd half of next year. We've been discussing it for a few months now, and we're all convinced that it's a necessary book and that now is the time to do it. It will cover MySQL 4.x (probably 4.1 based on the schedules I've heard). It will cover "Advanced" topics meaning that it will hit some that the other books have not and it will go into greater depth on some of the topics that do appear in the more beginner-oriented books. I'd be glad to send you the working TOC outline for feedback. Jeremy -- Jeremy D.
