I had 3.23.41 installed. It came with Rh7.2. I had some mistakes in initial start up . So I thought i would reinstall it. I downloaded the rpm for 3.23.47. And ran the rpm installation. I am not sure if it did the whole install. Now I have a safe_mysqld and 2 other mysqld process runinng. But I can't start using mysql. If i try to uninstall it says package is not install. And if i try to install it says it is already installed. I am not sure whats wrong here.
